In the last 10 years, Niagara Falls has built two major casinos in the Fallsview Area.
Casino Niagara is located at 5705 Falls Avenue and was the first casino built in the falls. It has over 1700 slot machines, 70 gaming tables, several restaurants, sports bars, weekly live music and a comedy club. Casino Niagara is located within walking distance of most of the other attractions in the immediate Fallsview Area, so there is no need to bring your car.
Fallsview Casino Resort Hotel is located at 6380 Fallsview Blvd. This casino is slightly more impressive when compared with Casino Niagara. Fallsview has a beautiful lobby area, complete with several fountains with coloured lights shining amongst them .There is a lovely terrace out in the back of the casino, where visitors can walk along amongst the dancing fountains, while taking in a beautiful view of the Falls. Fallsview Casino also has several stores located outside the gambling area, as well as several restaurants to choose from. They won’t be the cheapest restaurants in the falls area however, as you are paying for the convenience of eating right at the casino. In the lower level of the casino, there is a more “food court” like area where you will be able to get some cheaper and quicker food! Fallsview Casino has over 3000 slot machines and 130 table games. Somewhere in the casino, there are some nickel slots. They are usually tucked away from the busiest areas, but if you can find an empty one, your money might last just a little bit longer!
Fallsview Casino also often has some big name acts who play in the Avalon Theatre in the casino, but you should get tickets fairly far ahead for those shows if you are interested in seeing them, as they sell out quickly, and tickets are often quite hard to come by. Greg Frewin Theatre
This magic show is a fairly new event in Niagara Falls. This Las Vegas style show stars the “International Grand Champion of Magic”, Greg Frewin, and it takes place in a 600 seat venue right in downtown Niagara Falls. This show has been getting some rave reviews! Ticket prices range from $20 to $50 depending on age and where you are sitting in the theatre. Dinner packages are also available. Oh Canada Eh Dinner Show
The Oh Canada Eh Dinner Show is located at 8585 Lundy’s Lane. This show is advertised as a “musical celebration of Canada”. All of the songs in the show were sung or written by Canadians. This show celebrates all that is stereotypically Canadian, and all that really is Canadian. It has been voted Attraction of the Year in the entertainment category seven times. They suggest that if you are interested in going to see this show, you should book your tickets well in advance in order to ensure that you get tickets to the shows you want!
