Haunted Houses Niagara Falls
Haunted Houses on Clifton Hill
Clifton Hill has more than it’s share of haunted houses, some better than others. Nightmares Fear Factory is one of the most popular, and legend has it that this haunted house is at the site of an old coffin factory that used to be owned by a man named Abraham Mortimer, a man who spent his life guarding his factory from young hooligans. Mortimer died in a most unpleasant way…crushed to death by a coffin while chasing trespassers through his factory. To this day, it is said that it is Mr. Mortimer who roams the halls, trying to chase away the continuous barrage of trespassers in his factory.
You can walk through Nightmares in groups of 6 or less, and if you get too scared, you just yell chicken, and you are escorted out. Your name will then be added to the “chicken list” which has over 90, 000 names on it. Prices are $13.95 for adults and $9.95 for children under 12. If you go online to buy your tickets in advance however, you will save about three dollars. Note that if you do happen to chicken out, there is no refund! Nightmares Fear Factory is open daily starting at 11am.
Screamers House of Horrors is the other popular haunted house. This haunted house has no creepy ghost story to go with it, but it is still pretty scary. The chicken list at this haunted house is 70, 000 and counting. On weekdays, this haunted house opens at 5pm, and on weekends, their opening hour is 11am. Price for an adult is $11, and the price for a child is $7.

This is definitely the tour you want to go on if you want to be spooked. All the stories that are told on this tour are absolutely true. Web Site

Some people have seen ghostly soldiers walking through the cemetery, only to disappear into thin air. If you don’t want to brave the cemetery at night, take a walk around during the day, as it is quite a historic site, and the headstones are interesting to read.
